The national wild life federation counters the last post where he was saying that temperature is decreasing. The national Wild Life Federation states that 2012 was the hottest year on record for the U.S . Wildlife and plants migrate up north to adjust to the higher temperatures. But species that already live at high altitudes have no where to go. Animals and plants are migrating, mating, and flowering earlier than they are supposed to because of temperature changes that confuse them. Because of the warming of the sea surface, the algae on coral reefs are dying. The algae provides the coral with oxygen and nutrients and if the algae dies and is not replaced the the coral reefs die. Many other sea species depend on the coral reefs to thrive on. Artic ice is melting and it is melting at a faster and faster pace.

In this article people actually argue that global warming does not exist. That there are no temperature rising issues. According to NASA the hottest decade of the 20th century was not the 1990's but the 1930's. He even believes that temperatures are dropping which is contrary what many other articles and scientists say. But he does back up his statements with facts from reliable sources. But he believes that the glaciers are not melting due to man made global warming but because of the "brown cloud" or soot flying over from Asia. But these are just arguments to support the idea of global warming being just a hoax. A lot of people believe that global warming is a real issue yet there are still people who don't believe it exists.

Prey Declines and Predators Decline

source: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/graphic/2007/09/15/GR2007091500124.html

As the amount of prey in an ecosystem declines than the amount of predators decline. On Isle Royale, Mich., higher temperatures cause a species of tick to grow in higher population which becomes troublesome for the the islands moose. This causes the population of the moose to decline and as the moose population decreases the population of their predator the wolf also goes down. The wolf relies on the moose as a big food source and when they're gone they have a big source of food gone. Everything that happens in an ecosystem causes a chain reaction. It doesn't just effect one species but other species that depend on them as well.

Coral reefs

source: http://www.nwf.org/Wildlife/Threats-to-Wildlife/Global-Warming/Effects-on-Wildlife-and-Habitat/Coral-Reefs.aspx

Higher sea temperatures already have caused major coral bleaching. Bleaching happens when the coral responds to the stress of warmer temperatures by releasing the colorful algae that lives within them. Some coral are able to recover but many often die. Coral serves as the base of an ecosystem so when the coral dies then the whole ecosystem is effected or wiped out. Many sea animals thrive of off the coral. More and more bleaching is on the rise and more bleaching is expected in the decades to come as the temperature continues to rise. Rising sea levels caused by the melting of arctic ice may make the water to deep for the coral to receive the adequate sunlight key for coral survival.

Ocean animals

Sea level rise caused by the melting of polar ice causes sea level to rise contributing to the loss of beach. Sea turtles use beaches as their nesting grounds. Storms caused by climate change flood the beaches or destroy the the nesting grounds. Increasing temperatures cause the sand to get warmer which decreases hatching rates or complete nest failure. A sea turtles sex is influenced by the climate and because of the hotter temperature because of the climate change there are more females being hatched than males. Which can decrease their reproduction. Warmer ocean temperature cause the sea turtles to change their migration route luring them away from sea turtles.

Migration

source: http://www.climateandweather.net/global_warming/effects_on_animals.htm

Climate variablility due to global waming effects birdlife and animals in many ways. Birds have to lay their eggs earlier in the year than usual. Plants bloom earlier than usual forcing mamals to come out of hibernation sooner. Animals are moving closer to poles as a response to rising temperatures. Birds migrate earlier and arive earlier to ther nesting gounds. But some birds in some countries dont even migrate anymore because the weather is suitable all year long. Migration routes of wildebeests in various african countrires are now stopped by fences. So far it is not thought that species have been led to extinction exclusively because of climate change but many migratory and non migratory species are expected to become extinct because of climate change.

Arctic Ice

Summary and explanation: Ocean animals feel a great impact on them by global warming. The polar bear is  an animal that is highly known for suffering because of global warming. The polar bear is the Artic's top predator who is affected by the reduction of sea ice and there primary food source the ringed seal. Polar bears use sea ice as a platform for hunting their prey and resting but with the sea ice gone they are stranded in the Artic ocean. Many polar bears are drowning because they have now ice to swim to and rest on.
